SURVIVAL: EST3 FIRE PLATFORM AND SECURITY CONTROL
The EST3 has a unique design that allows it to meet the needs of life safety systems of any size. The function of each panel can be customized, using a wide variety of PNP (plug and play) modules for local rail mounting. With support for 64 nodes of up to 2,500 devices each, the protocol of the peer-to-peer token ring multi-priority network provides rapid response to alarms, regardless of the size of the network.
In addition, it has the ability to place network panels surpassing 300,000 feet in distance (almost 60 miles) offering virtually unlimited options. All the operating characteristics of the EST3 are controlled by software using object orientation rules, which when necessary, provide the designer with great flexibility in integrating fire, safety and function (MNEC) functions into a single, integrated design.
The multiplexed audio of the EST3 can transmit up to 8 simultaneous messages for a single pair of cables! These messages can be automatically directed to various sites within the building under scheduled control. Security warning messages are easily integrated into the audio system.
The EST3 is the perfect platform that integrates fire alarm, security and mass notification / emergency communications functions (MNEC Mass Notification / Emergency Communications). Security and functions (MNEC) take full advantage of the survivability and reliability inherent in the EST3. It is a truly integrated solution that shares resources within the same system and reduces costs. It is much more efficient to install a single system than to implement multiple interconnected systems.
Distributed technology is designed to survive expected and unexpected events. The EST3 network can be wired in such a way that a single open circuit or a short circuit in the cable causes the system to determine the failure, without loss of network functionality. In case of several wiring failures, the network is automatically configured in several sub-networks and continues responding to alarm events of all the panels that are communicating. The distributed technology ensures that the isolated panels of the network remain fully functional.
Its design is easy to use. The main screen shows the operator the first and most recent events as soon as an alert is received. Events ensure that alarm messages are never mixed with other events of lower system priority. The location and telephone operations are carried out using menu switches, and not confusing rows of toggle switches. Ideal for retrofit projects The Intelligent Signature Series fire and safety devices are available for both fire and safety applications, and are fully compatible with the EST3 system. The Signature Series multi-sensor smoke detectors have unrivaled performance under different fire conditions.
